ESG without Safety is a strategic failure

ESG, Sustainability

A company can look strong on ESG metrics yet remain vulnerable to physical, operational, cyber and wartime risks.

This isn’t about replacing ESG, but about making it complete and mature - where Safety stops being a subtopic and becomes a full-fledged part of resilience assessment. That is exactly what we do at SCXSustainability Scorex. It is a forward-looking approach that global standards are only beginning to recognise.

Only at the end of 2025 did the European Commission publish guidance and a delegated regulation - the first documents to state clearly that the defence industry does not, in itself, contradict sustainability principles. From now on, only manufacturers of weapon  banned by international conventions are subject to automatic exclusion. Safety is taking on a new meaning for the EU.
